Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the Performance Tools Mechanic Gloves. Now, these are available in three different sizes. We've got medium, large, and extra large. So depending on your hand size, you'll want to pick the one that fits best. It's always good to have an extra pair of gloves around, whether you're doing anything in the garden, at the shop, working on your RV, or anything else.

Maybe it's just cold outside, you don't want to get frostbit, whatever the case might be.So I'm going to take a look at these gloves and show you the difference between them, to make sure that these are the right fit for you. Now I have, not tiny hands, but small hands, I'm a lady, so I would be picking the medium size. They're still a little bit big for me, but I think between the medium, the large, and the extra large, they should be good for a lot of folks out there, mostly men or people who have bigger hands. So let's take a closer look. Now, for reference, my hand, if we go from my middle finger to about my wrist, is about 7" long, and then my palm is about 3-1/2" inches.

So again, just to give you a frame of reference for that length, since we're going to be looking at my hands in particular, that's how big my hands are. So not huge, but not the inaudible 00:01:21.So at the medium, get my hands in here, they fit pretty nicely in the palm. The thing that I always have a problem with, is just the pinky, there's always excess there, which these are no exception, that's just the way my hands are. I think these are nice, especially again, if you're going to be using these in any kind of cold weather, they're fairly thick. So I think they did pretty good there.

As far as the dexterity, they're not going to be great. I mean, they are thicker gloves, they're kind of like almost a suede like material, from the feel of them. So, can you do brain surgery in these No. But can you change out a tire Definitely. Can you tighten stuff down Absolutely.

Clean out bearings or anything like that I wouldn't see why not. So I think that they're going to work for a lot of different applications.I'll try on the other ones, just to give you an idea of the difference in size. So again, here they are on my hands, these are the mediums. So inaudible 00:02:33. The fingers are a little bit long for me, but the palm feels pretty good. Now, if we go to the large, these also fit fairly nicely just in the hand, but now the fingers are starting to get quite a bit bigger. So I've got almost a finger widths space in between the end of my fingers and the ends of the glove. Then if we go to the extra large, which is just going to be comically big on me. Yeah. Now we've got a lot of looseness, it's very loose in my palm, and I've got quite a bit of space in between those fingers, almost two finger widths.So if you have quite a bit bigger hands than me, which you probably do, these are going to work out pretty well. I do like the feel of these, they're again, pretty thick, they're pretty comparable to any other kind of mechanics gloves that I've seen. There are a couple of little holes on the sides to give a little bit of breathing, or a little breathability to the gloves. And I like that. Nobody likes having sweaty hands inside their gloves, so that makes it nice. I know some folks like to double up maybe having like a nitrile glove, or a latex glove underneath the mechanics glove. So if you're really working with some nasty solvents, that can give you a double layer. So having a little bit of breathability within there would help keep the sweatiness down a little bit.That's pretty much it for our quick look at the Performance Tool Tech Mechanic Gloves.
